Sweatchi

Sweatchi is a women-focused wellness app designed to make healthy living simple and organized. Instead of using multiple apps, users can track workouts, meals, water intake, sleep, steps, and body measurements all in one place. It supports women balancing work and personal life while staying consistent with their health goals. The app also offers workout videos, community chat, and downloadable wellness resources. Built with Flutter for Android and iOS, it includes a web-based admin panel for smooth content management.

One of the biggest challenges in building Sweatchi was integrating real-time health data from Apple Health and Google Health services without delays or syncing issues. Although the app was successfully connected to both platforms, step counts and sleep data were not updating instantly inside the app, which affected accuracy and user experience. Managing background synchronization, handling complex permission settings across Android and iOS, and ensuring reliable data aggregation required deep technical understanding. Since Sweatchi aimed to be an all-in-one wellness platform for women, even small inconsistencies in health tracking could reduce user trust and engagement.

To resolve this, we conducted detailed research on Health Connect and Google Health Connect APIs to better understand background syncing, permission management, and data flow mechanisms. We restructured the data synchronization logic, optimized API handling, and improved the way permissions were managed across devices. After multiple rounds of testing and refinement, we achieved smoother and more consistent real-time updates within the app. Alongside this, we built a robust backend using Python and a flexible admin panel using React, ensuring seamless content management and overall platform stability, resulting in a reliable and user-friendly wellness experience for women.
